GS1 Data Matrix Overview

GS1 Data Matrix  is a variant of the Data Matrix symbology that conforms to GS1 specifications. It is mostly used as an identification system worldwide in the healthcare field and is built on a foundation of GTIN, lot number, expiry date, serial number, etc.

Programming

GS1 Data Matrix is supported by default on all Socket Mobile barcode scanners. You can enable or disable this symbology on your Socket Mobile scanner simply by scanning the codes below.  Note: Scanner must be in a disconnected state before scanning the command barcode.
