Although this is primarily an issue when pairing Socket Mobile barcode readers to Samsung devices in Application Mode, other manufacturers' devices also sometimes need Bluetooth data clearing to complete the pairing process on Android.
To fix, open Settings in the Samsung Tablet or Smartphone and follow these steps:
- Find "Apps", tap it, and select the relevant option menu from the two below (depending on which is displayed on your screen.)
- Either toggle "Show system apps" to on or select "show system apps" (depending on which option is displayed on your screen.)
- Select Bluetooth from the list of Apps
- Select "Storage"
- Select "Clear Data"
- Return to the Companion app and attempt the pairing again.
